63.4 million rural Indians have no proper access to clean water — a number roughly equal to the combined populations of Australia, Sweden, Sri Lanka and Bulgaria. Only 16% of rural households in India have piped water, and much of what does reach them carries iron, arsenic, and other contaminants linked to skin lesions, respiratory illness and cancer.
Jal Pravahika exists to help close that gap. We use sustainable engineering, quality products from reputed brands, and long-term partnerships with government and vendors to make potable water accessible — village by village — across rural West Bengal. We think in decades, not quarters. And we favour products with low lifecycle cost over those with low capital cost.
